A Print Collection

"Golden Summer SS27" Fashion Prints

Abstract textile print with pink, yellow, and white brush strokes. The text "Golden Summer" is centered, conveying a vibrant, cheerful mood by textile designer Siobhan Bradfield.

Storytelling in Surface Design

There is a story behind this pattern design collection and it all starts with a feeling that comes from life or a specific situation. There are moments in life that feel like an ending…but quietly, gently, they turn out to be the beginning of something far more meaningful.

For me, that moment arrived in 2025.

After 7.5 years working as a menswear stylist, my role was made redundant. I had been working as a Textile and Print Designer for years besides my other job.

Suddenly things were different.

I had a creative clarity I hadn’t felt in years.

Ironically, even without a job title, I was working harder than ever before.

I began intensively developing new print collections, slowly, intentionally, and with a clear creative direction. What had once lived as individual watercolour artworks started to transform into repeat patterns designed specifically for swimwear and activewear.

This was the moment I was developing new prints for the print fair Paris Prints in February 2026, my very first exhibition where I presented my textile designs and even taking on other Designers and Illustrators to present the best surface designs I could offer.

An Abstract Pattern Design Collection

Golden Summer is a collection born from warmth, light, and joy. A new beginning.

It draws inspiration from sun-soaked days, soft floral moments, and the kind of summer that feels timeless rather than trend-led.

At the time I was working like crazy on different print and pattern collections like my Tropical Summer print collection to be able to have enough work to present at Paris Prints.

There’s a sense of expression and fun woven through it, intertwined with freshness, optimism, and freedom.

Every print in this collection began the same way:
with watercolour on paper.

Abstract art collage titled "Scale and Development" featuring pink and yellow patterns. Includes textured layers and brush strokes, creating a vibrant, creative mood.

Design Development: Surface Design

Prints can be something personal, that give away a little secret about yourself and that helps customers connect with your brand.

Customers are craving authenticity in a world where AI is having a stronger presence than ever. But nothing can beat something that is human made, a personal story that you can present with your prints. Something that is unique, that is made with a hand-painting.

Working with storytelling in print design can be extremely effective because it lets you show your values and views through something visual that can’t be replicated.

  • Fashion prints that don’t look like they could belong to anyone
  • Pattern Designs that play with your brand identity
